they/them & she/her

during the day, I am a mental health worker dedicated to liberation-oriented care.

at night, I moonlight as an aspiring artist and cultural worker. I have always believed in art as a powerful, politicized medium for storytelling. art has been a space for women in my family to confess their deepest desires and honor their hopes and needs.

over the past few years, I have explored a variety of creative practices including linocut, zine-making, collage, fiber arts, graphic design, and dance. each of these mediums has invited deeper learning, reflection, and new approaches to problem-solving. through this exploration, I am finding new ways of examining my lived experiences and the world around me.

if art is personal and the personal is political, our creative expression bears the responsibility of calling attention to the state of our world. art must challenge us to imagine a new, liberated world. I hope to continue learning and building my creative practices, so I can be a better listener, storyteller, careworker, friend, and community member.

in my free time, you can find me practicing my embroidery skills or trying to win the trust of the neighborhood cat.
